Prof. Dr. med. Sacha P. Salzberg
Specialist in Cardiac and Thoracic Vascular Surgery (FMH)
The Swiss Sacha Salzberg is the centre founder. He trained as a cardiac surgeon in Switzerland and the USA. In addition to the classical heart surgeries, he has deepened his experience in the field of minimally invasive procedures at the heart and introduced thoracoscopic ablation in atrial fibrillation after a stay in the Netherlands in Switzerland.
Dr. med. Wim-Jan van Boven (PhD)
Specialist in Thoracic Surgery and Heart Surgery (NL)
Wim-Jan van Boven is a cardiac and lung surgeon in the Netherlands. He invented thoracoscopic ablation in 2006 and pioneered cardiac and lung therapy. Together with Prof. Salzberg, he introduced thoracoscopic ablation in Switzerland in 2008. Together, they have several years of experience in surgical ablation of atrial fibrillation.

The cardiologist Thomas Zerm is a specialist in cardiac electrophysiology. He heads the department of the Albertine Heart Center in Hamburg. He has also been working in Switzerland for several years. At the Heart & Rhythm Center, he directs cardiological evaluations, electrophysiological examinations and catheter ablations in atrial fibrillation.
